摘要: Objective: To study doses received by patients undergoing various interventional radiology (cardiac and non-cardiac) procedures. Patients Methods: A total of 310 cardiac procedures in 6 selected hospitals Malaysia between July 2000 May 2001 were studied retrospectively. Thermoluminescent dosimeters used to measure the entrance surface air kerma on areas most likely receive highest dose, a kerma-area product meter was integral dose for whole procedure. Results: Mean products coronary angiography, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty with stent implantation, both these 48.6, 147.2, 153.0 Gy·cm 2 , respectively. nephrostomy, lower-limb chemoembolisation, abdominal angiography 31.5, 109.4, 127.7, 88.5 Entrance values non-cardiac 100.4, 64.9, 107.0, 135.3 mGy, respectively estimated effective ranged from 5.0 28.0 mSv. These findings generally agreed those international studies. Conclusions: Doses within range prescribed local guidelines. However, we need create awareness among interventionists about potentially high radiation educate them dose-reducing strategies.
