摘要: Premise of the studyTribe Citharexyleae comprises three genera: Baillonia, Citharexylum, and Rehdera. While there is good support for these genera as a clade, relationships between remain unresolved due to low sampling largest genus, Citharexylum. A molecular phylogenetic approach was taken resolve intergeneric in infrageneric MethodsSeven chloroplast regions, two nuclear ribosomal spacers, six low-copy loci were analyzed 64 species Citharexyleae. Phylogenetic analyses conducted using maximum likelihood, Bayesian inference, multi-species coalescent approaches. Habit, presence/absence thorns, inflorescence architecture, flower color, fruit geography examined identify diagnostic characters clades within Key resultsIntergeneric resolved Rehdera sister Citharexylum Baillonia nested Two species, C. oleinum tetramerum, fell outside close tribe Duranteae. There strong seven each characterized by unique combination geography, color/maturation, architecture. ConclusionsBaillonia included Citharexylum; retained distinct genus. subgeneric classification proposed.
