摘要: We present a further investigation into the increased ionization observed in element charge states fast solar wind compared to its coronal hole source regions. Once ions begin be perpendicularly heated by ion cyclotron waves and execute large gyro-orbits, density gradients flow can excite lower hybrid that then damp heating electrons parallel direction. give analysis of charge-state data from polar holes at minimum maximum, also equatorial holes. consider damping effect non-Maxwellian electron distribution functions on degree ionization, both which appear negligible for case considered here. suggest required heat sufficiently ionize plausibly result turbulent cascade MHD waves.
