摘要: Introduction Transarterial embolization is the standard endovascular treatment strategy for intracranial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). The transvenous approach has been indicated of deep AVMs meeting a set strict eligibility criteria. present study aims to assess safety and efficacy superficial AVMs. Methods A retrospective series 12 patients presenting with cortical were treated by using curative intent. Results Nine (75%) had ruptured at admission. mean nidus size was 1.9 cm, six (50%) in eloquent areas median Spetzler–Martin grade 2. rate immediate angiographic occlusion 91.6% (11/12). One patient whom not achieved showed spontaneous 6-month follow-up. No procedural or clinical complications observed. modified Rankin scale (mRS) scores discharge 1.7 2 (range 0–3, SD=0.96), mRS 6 months 1.6 (0–3, 1.16). independent (mRS ≤2) 11 (91.6%) Conclusions feasible appears safe effective when anatomical selection respected. This technique extends current indications may improve cure rates while reducing embolization-related complications.
