摘要: Approximately 35 years ago a role of human papillomaviruses (HPV) in cervical cancer has been postulated. Today it is well established that this very heterogeneous virus family harbours important carcinogens, causing not only the vast majority cervical, but also substantial proportion other anogenital and head neck cancers. In addition, specific types have linked to certain cutaneous females, HPV infections on global scale account for more than 50% infection-linked cancers, males barely 5%. Vaccines against high risk 16 18 represent first preventive vaccines directly developed protect major (cervical carcinoma). This review will cover some historical aspects papillomavirus research; tries briefly analyze present state linking cancers discuss emerging developments.
