摘要: The objectives of this sub group meta-analysis on the treatment hypertension was to: (1) high-light specific results well-designed trials; (2) trials according to their clinical context; (3) express in absolute reduction terms; and (4) estimate bias withdrawal because blood pressure increase. This is based summarised published from randomised controlled trials, comparing a drug versus placebo or no treatment, with morbi-mortality as principle outcome. following data were analysed: total mortality; cardiovascular stroke; major coronary events; (5) congestive heart failure. significantly reduced incidence all outcomes involving older patients, avoiding up nine strokes (OR = 0.66, 95% Cl: 0.56-0.77) four events 0.79, 0.68-0.92) every 1000 patient-years when taken into account. only outcome influenced by younger patients mild-to-moderate stroke, one stroke avoided 0.51, 0.39-0.66). There insufficient statistical power which enrolled non-moderate reach significance, except for However, indicated trend towards greater benefit under treatment. Trials enrolling post-stroke also had power, but suggested recurrence failure In conclusion, most constant concerned although very modest hypertension. Only showed significant events. Such need further analyses, ideally individual patient data.
