摘要: A specimen of downy mildew on leaves Sphagneticola trilobata found in northern Queensland was identified by a systematic approach as novel species Plasmopara. new species, Plasmopara sphagneticolae, is proposed for this specimen, which differs from other morphology, host range, and sequence data nuclear-ribosomal DNA mitochondrial DNA. together with P. halstedii, are mildews the tribe Heliantheae (Asteraceae). halstedii causes Helianthus annuus, not present sunflower Australia. Phylogenetic analysis large subunit region ribosomal showed that sphagneticolae sister to sunflower.
