摘要: Purpose To prospectively assess the efficacy of selective serotonin inhibitor escitalopram on painful bone metastases, in combination with external beam irradiation. Methods Forty-three patients cancer metastatic to and suffering from depression were treated 3 Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3DCRT) (30 Gy; Gy/fraction, 5 days/week) combined (20 mg/day). Pain relief was evaluated Wong/Baker Faces Scale. The reported outcome using a RTOG-EORTC quality-of-life self-questionnaire (QLQ-C30 v3.0) status according Hamilton Scale (HAM-17). assessment performed at baseline 6-8 weeks after radiotherapy. Results Patients radiotherapy tended show good response pain improvement their quality life. Conclusions Though our data concerned rather small number patients, addition 3DCRT accomplished high clinical benefit rate neuropathic metastasis.
