摘要: Echinococcus multilocularis is one of the most pathogenic zoonotic parasites in temperate and arctic region Northern Hemisphere. For estimating potential risk human infection endemic areas, reliable antemortem methods are needed to detect parasite carnivore definitive hosts. The sensitivity routine flotation techniques for detection E. eggs was found be low (3-33%) depending on solution used (specific gravities = 1.3-1.4). An improved faecal followed by a species-specific PCR described with 74% (95% CI 62-84%) specificity 100% 94-100%). These parameters similar those intestinal scraping technique (sensitivity 78%, 100%). significantly higher (P < 0.0001) than that techniques. costs method or lower other diagnostic methods. Based these data, suitable surveys domesticated wild carnivores.
