摘要: We report the discovery of an 11-ms pulsar, PSR1620–26, in closest globular cluster, M4 (NGC6121). It is fifth millisecond pulsar to be found, and second a cluster. Unlike other cluster PSR1821 – 24 M28 (ref. 1), PSR1620 26 low-mass binary system. This provides strong support for formation mechanisms which old neutron star spun up periods by accretion during X-ray phase. The orbit's small eccentricity likely have significant implica-tions both age its surface magnetic field. conclude that pulsar's current companion is, fact, was responsible spin-up.
