摘要: In this study, the effect of solution pH on electrochemical behaviour AISI 304 austenitic and 430 ferritic stainless steels at open circuit potential (OCP) in concentrated acidic solutions was studied. Polarization curves showed that corrosion current density both increased with decreasing pH. Mott–Schottky analysis revealed passive films formed behave as n-type p-type semiconductors donor acceptor densities Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) results reciprocal capacitance film is directly proportional to its thickness which decreases Thus for solutions, increasing offers better conditions forming higher protection behaviour, due growth much thicker less defective films.
