摘要: Quality of life may predict survival. In addition to clinical variables, it be influenced by psychological factors, some which accessible for intervention. The primary objective this study was investigate the association intrusive thoughts and patients’ sense coherence with pretreatment quality in patients newly diagnosed rectal cancer. Patients were prospectively included 16 hospitals Sweden Denmark. They answered an extensive questionnaire after receiving their treatment plan. Clinical data retrieved from national registries Of 1248 patients, a total 1085 evaluable. Pretreatment global health-related overall lower planned palliative compared curative (median 53 vs. 80 on EuroQoL visual analogue scale, p < 0.001 odds ratio 0.56, 95% confidence interval 0.36–0.88, respectively). associated (odds 0.33, 0.24–0.45) 0.44, 0.37–0.52) irrespective intent as well coherence.
