摘要: This book is about religious change. More particularly it the changes brought when Christianity was introduced to a remote tribal group in highlands of what now Irian Jaya, Indonesia. These people who are members that has become known as Western Dani, entered into process, through their contact with missionaries, been shared experience hundreds groups for past two thousand years. process variously labelled 'indigenizing Christianity,' 'inculturation Christianity,^D> ' or 'contextualizing Christianity.' uses term vernacular order emphasize anthropological perspective characterizes study, and socio-cultural processes transpire belief systems come contact.
