摘要: Pink-pigmented facultatively methylotrophic bacteria (PPFMs), persistent colonizers of plant leaf surfaces, belong to the genus Methrlobacterium and are mostly transmitted through seeds. Plant growth-promoting activity their effects on disease suppression were evaluated rice under greenhouse conditions. Rice seeds inoculated with Methylobacterium sp. strain PPFM-Os-07 seed germination was in terms morphometric measurements, seedling growth, rate (R(subscript G)), vigour index (SVI). Another experiment carried out study induction pathogenesis-related proteins (PR-proteins) plants that by imbibition or foliar spray. In third experiment, sixty-day-old grown pots challenge Rhizoctonia solani TNAU-01. inoculation promoted growth. Increased height, number tillers, biomass, grain yield observed. The average increases for phyllosphere spray were, respectively, 22.1% 24.3% greater than control. also significantly reduced sheath blight incidence when applied as either bacterial culture percent reduction recorded alone combined applications 17.8% 23.5%. sprayed showed increased presence PR-proteins phenolic contents day 1 after application. Maximum phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) peroxidase 4 β-1,3-glucanase chitinase 5 recorded. results suggest may alter susceptibility R. solani. This work emphasizes importance evaluating induced systemic resistance while studying plant-associated growth promoting bacteria.
