摘要: The post-September 11 era has prompted unprecedented attention to medical preparations for national special security events (NSSE), requiring extraordinary planning and coordination among federal, state, local agencies. For an NSSE, the US Secret Service (USSS) serves as lead agency all operations coordinates with relevant partners provide safety welfare of participants. 2004 Democratic National Convention (DNC), designated USSS tasked Boston Emergency Medical Services (BEMS) Public Health Commission design implementation health services related Convention. In this article, we describe development BEMS' robust DNC Consequence Management Plan, addressing following activities: public surveillance, on-site care, surge capacity in event a mass casualty incident, management federal response assets.
