Percutaneous balloon angioplasty for treatment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension

摘要: Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension is characterized by the presence of organized thrombotic material in arteries which causes elevation vascular resistance, right heart failure, and death if not treated. Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy treatment choice can be curative when obstruction proximal. There are cases this therapy possible, angioplasty a therapeutic alternative growing interest. We present our experience with three patients diagnosed chronic whom endarterectomy was possible performed. All showed improvement functional class, six-minute walk distance, hemodynamic as well angiographic parameters.
