摘要: Characterization of forest fuels is key to successful implementation any fire management system. Great strides have been made in the characterization canopy by use remote sensing technology. Remote surface is, however, limited physical intervention overlaying canopy. This limitation underscores importance exploring alternative approaches that relate site environment characteristics production and accumulation understory fuels. study predicts downed woody fuel loadings based on variables such as topography, history, vegetation type forested area Rincon Mountains southern Arizona. We used classification regression trees (CART) make these predictions. Results show fine are predicted best slope. Coarse differences elevation.
