摘要: After the age of 30 years, GFR progressively declines at an average rate 8 mL/min/1.73 m/decade. A problem advanced is that evaluation renal function on basis indicators valid in young adults, such as creatininemia, unreliable. In fact, many patients with chronic failure may have serum creatinine levels within normal range even if they a significant reduction function. Ultrasound has become routine method investigation disease: kidney size and parenchymal echogenicity are considered markers function, so US useful assessing presence degree failure. CEUS disease elderly: increased hemodynamic resistance microvessels reduces perfusion cortex, fewer microbubbles enter cortex. EcoColor EcoDoppler also senile alterations: here, distribution color-signals, compared to adult population, appears more attenuated, limited intersegmental interlobar districts. Among ecoDoppler parameters, index can be marker damage progression, attention needing paid possible concomitant confounding factors. Ultrasonography, color-Doppler non-invasive convenient modality for managing disease; their integration anamnestic, objective laboratory data permits fast reliable clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic classification. It allows early intervention and, ultimately, improvements patient management.
