摘要: Location-specific Internet services are predicated on the ability to identify geographic position of IP hosts accurately. Fundamental current state-of-the-art geolocation techniques is reliance heavyweight traceroute-like probes that put a significant traffic load networks. In this paper, we introduce new lightweight approach call Posit. This methodology requires only small number delay measurements conducted end host targets in conjunction with computationally-efficient statistical embedding technique. We demonstrate Posit performs better than all existing tools across wide spectrum measurement infrastructures varying densities. Specifically, shown geolocate median error improvements over 55% respect measurement-based methodologies.
