Femoral anteversion. A clinical assessment of idiopathic intoeing gait in children

摘要: Hip rotation in extension and flexion was studied 23 patients with idiopathic intoeing gait. In all the hips had markedly increased medial limited lateral rotation, fulfilling criteria of excessive femoral anteversion. flexion, however, varied widely; one group remained greater than lateral, but second equal to or medial. CT scans showed that first were significantly more anteverted those second. Clearly measurement hip alone does not provide a dependable indication anteversion children gait; also needs be measured.
