摘要: Small wind turbines are often used in remote locations, making them difficult and expensive to repair. This suggests the need for condition monitoring fault diagnosis which has not been extensively small turbines. In order investigate direct drive turbine generators working at variable speed develop new techniques, a test facility based on 500 W permanent magnet generator was built. The investigation concentrated mechanical faults include ball bearing outer race defect rotor imbalance. Electrical load imbalance also investigated. Imbalance detection performed through wavelet power spectrum analysis of vibration signals. Three time–frequency techniques were signals performances compared.
