Injection drug users' disclosure of HIV seropositive status to network members.

摘要: Disclosing that one is HIV seropositive may reduce the burden of disease by facilitating reduction in risk behaviors and mobilizing network support. Logistic regression generalized estimating equations (GEE) analyses were used to examine disclosure positive serostatus members among 161 low-income, current, former injection-drug users living with HIV/AIDS. About 14% respondents reported they had not disclosed their any members, whereas 35% all members. Respondents who known status longer, did currently use illicit drugs, or more education likely have serostatus. Characteristics associated having been included status, being a drug partner, residential propinquity, respondent discussed respondent.
