摘要: Abstract Wireless devices have a plethora of technologies at their disposal to connect the Internet and other services. Management control each technology are traditionally isolated, coordination between is nearly non-existent. This isolation leads poor resource usage, which in turn reduces performance service guarantees. To satisfy growing user demands, we need leverage different guarantees offered by technology. Additionally, improve orchestration increase flexibility while offering more extensive range maximizing utilization across networks users. In this work, present general challenges one encounters when managing heterogeneous wireless networks. We argue that primary challenge heterogeneity itself, number technologies, requirements, increasing complexity as consequence. However, abstraction can overcome these challenges. provide an overview state art commercial scientific solutions show strengths weaknesses. Based on this, discuss current status what future still await full seamless network management.
