摘要: Purpose This study aims to synthesize a series of new anticorrosive pigments using technique called “core-shell”. This is based on depositing thin surface layer expensive, efficient pigment cheap extender. extender forms the bulk pigments. The were constructed cores either waste silica fume or kaolin comprising 80-85 per cent their chemical structure, and ferrite shell was about 20-15 cent. Electrochemical studies undertaken two for comparison between ferrites/silica ferrites/kaolin show performance, as shells are different. Design/methodology/approach The different characterized analytical spectrophotometric techniques, such X-ray fluorescence (XRF) transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Immersion test electrochemical impedance measurements done in 3.5 NaCl. Findings The tests revealed that paint films containing Sr ferrite/silica Ca ferrite/kaolin most effective corrosion prevention. Practical implications Silica fumes have large array uses. These can be applied various industries painting, wooding coating, anti-corruption powder architectural waterproof paints. Treated many besides manufacture formulations; it reinforcing filler rubber, plastics ceramic composites. Originality/value The considered ecofriendly materials, because them converts product natural ore useful marketable product, leading reducing cost saving environment at same time.
