摘要: Summary Background Concomitant thyroid pathologies in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) present a challenge the clinical and surgical decision-making for these patients. In this study, we aimed to evaluate concomitant who underwent operations PHPT determine sensitivity (Sn) of neck ultrasonography (US) Tc99m sestamibi scintigraphy detecting parathyroid adenoma. We also impact preoperative US PHPT. Methods One hundred thirty-eight were included retrospective study. All and/or US. Nodules ≥1 cm or Results Preoperative revealed that 93.5% had abnormalities 66.7% at least one nodule. Postoperative histopathology results showed 79.2% benign disease 20.8% malignant disease. detection adenoma, 89.1% Sn 82.6% Sn. Conclusion recommend routine use combination scintigraphy, especially endemic goiter regions, detect any thus best strategy
