摘要: The public health ramifications of marital violence are well documented and include injury, mental concerns physical consequences for women their offspring. Unfortunately, there remains social tolerance even acceptance these abuses against women, systems in India have done little to support victims despite greater risks. However, promising efforts important advancements that could be built on more effective prevention women. Men boys should engaged gender transformative interventions with male role models alter men's attitudes acceptability justification consequently actual abusive behaviours. Given the strong demonstrated connection between risky problem alcohol use violence, may also beneficial. We must girls vulnerable a group disproportionately affected by natal families as well, so they know need not part marriage relationship, skills how engage communicate or leave partners reduce risk violence. Formal services expanded those immediate danger particularly rural areas, where prevalence is highest supports weakest.
