摘要: Abstract The Heilbronn ozone experiment was performed in the period 23–26 June 1994 state of Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, with intention to investigate if peak concentrations during summer smog periods may be reduced by aid short term local scale interventions. Extensive meteorological and air quality measurements carried out provide valuable information on prevailing situation. In addition, high-resolution model simulations EUMAC Zooming Model (EZM) were complete picture at areas where no observations available facilitate assessing effectiveness emission reduction observational data enable a very detailed evaluation simulation results. results both reveal that interventions lead improvements regard primary pollutant but only minor changes levels. main conclusion from is concerted large-scale sources are needed for decisive reductions Central Europe.
