摘要: The possible association between entheseal changes and activity has been widely studied. However, many questions remain. This study aims to assess if occupation physical influence the age at which appear in iliac crest, retroauricular area, tuberosity, ischial tuberosity obturator foramen. Absence or presence of ossification exostosis stress lesions was recorded os coxae from 130 males (19 88 years old) Lisbon Coimbra identified skeletal collections. individuals were divided into two groups, based upon occupations: manual (n = 69) non-manual (n = 61). sample also according an osteological indicator activity: femur robusticity index (55 are robust 54 gracile femora). groups considered have had physically demanding occupations, while represent with less activities. asymmetry left right sides same tested a Chi-square test. And activities on appearance using logistic regression. Statistically significant not found bones (p <0.05). for regression calculations, only valid result obtained crest measure femoral robusticity. For did exostosis. It obtain models, probably due distribution each occupational category. Therefore, it appeared Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
