摘要: A rural society in Nigeria (Mbaise, an Igbo ethnic group Nigeria) whose people have been known to practice certain food prohibitions was selected for a survey of their current habits and beliefs. The traditions the five communities that make up Mbaise were found prohibit items on different scales among communities. Although these become part people's tradition they originally based superstitions. With recent economic, social educational improvements communities, younger generations are, unlike older ones, gradually changing attitudes toward such prohibitions.
