摘要: Research and practice increasingly suggests discrimination compromises health. Yet the unique experiences effects facing immigrant refugee populations remain poorly understood in Canada abroad. We review current knowledge on against newcomers Canada, emphasizing impacts upon health status service access to identify gaps research needs. Existing centers around within health-care settings, differences perception coping, mental impacts, debates about “non-discriminatory” health-care. There is need for comparative analyses across ethno-cultural groups newcomer classes better understand factors shaping how its are differentially experienced. Women receive greater attention literature given their compounded vulnerability. While this must continue, little known of youth men. Governance policy discourse would elucidate norms, institutions practices shape discriminatory attitudes responses. Finally, “non-discriminatory health-care” interventions require critical evaluation determine effectiveness.
