Motivational readiness for treatment in weight control programs: the TREatment MOtivation and REadiness (TRE-MORE) test.

摘要: Background and aims: The degree of motivation before starting the treatment represents a pre-treatment predictor successful weight management. aim this study is to develop validate new self-reported questionnaire readiness change lifestyle modification program (the TREatment MOtivation REadiness test) (TRE-MORE) for overweight patients. Methods results: TRE-MORE was evaluated in consecutive series 129 obese patients attending our Outpatient Clinic. Validation performed through test-retest reliability, internal consistency, psycho-pathological correlates, concurrent validity. Subjects have been by means clinical interview, different questionnaires, assessing eating specific general psychopathology, quality life. total subscales scores showed good reliability consistency. We identified 10 items grouped 3 areas (obstacles desire overcome, taking care themselves, sharing problems, current lifestyle). were significantly correlated with psychopathology life measures. Univariate Receiver Operating Characteristic curve analysis that represent model predicting loss >5% initial after 6 months treatment. Conclusion: validated easy-to-use at meantime predictive capacity loss.
