摘要: The high wheel loads of heavy trucks are a major source pavement damage by causing fatigue, which leads to cracking, and permanent deformation, produces rutting. Among trucks, all do not cause equal because differences in loads, number location axles, types suspensions tires, other factors. Further, the is specific properties, operating conditions, environmental mechanics truck-pavement interaction were studied identify relationships between truck properties (fatigue rutting). Computer models used generate load histories characteristic different conditions. Influence functions, obtained from rigid flexible structural models, predict responses along resulting motions. evaluated estimate overall caused each truck. study assessed significance truck, tire, pavement, factors as determinants damage. Maximum axle thickness have primary influences on fatigue Truck such suspension type, tire important but less significant. High temperatures pavements temperature gradients adversely affect with fairly strong interaction. report discusses quantifies influence these variables.
