摘要: The experimental identification of the dynamic coefficients bearings is very important for predicting behavior rotors. Usually linear are considered, assuming small perturbations around static equilibrium position. In literature, investigations on nonlinear effects in plain reported, especially from a numerical point view. Few similar studies found tilting pad journal (TPJB). present paper reports some peculiar aspects observed during procedure TPJB coefficients. tests were performed an apparatus realized large size operating at high peripheral speeds and loads. A quasi-static determination stiffness was developed, as quick check results obtained by usually adopted excitation. It consists applying slowly rotating force to floating stator measuring relative displacement shaft. Different load levels applied. Deformed orbits increasing ratios suggesting presence nonlinearities. Similar simulation simple bearing model terms.
