摘要: The use of mobile phones while driving—one the most common driver distractions—has been a significant research interest during recent decade. While there has considerable amount and excellent reviews on how phone distractions influence various aspects driving performance, mechanisms by which interactions with affect performance is relatively unexamined. As such, aim this study to examine involved such as conversing, texting, reading task, subsequent outcomes. A novel human-machine framework proposed isolate components associated distracted driving. specifies impacts distraction an inter-related system outcomes speed selection, lane deviations crashes; human-car controls steering control brake pedal human-environment visual scanning navigation. Eleven literature-review/meta-analyses papers 62 articles from 2005 2015 are critically reviewed synthesised following systematic classification scheme derived framework. analysis shows that many studies have attempted measure or drivers interactively manage in-vehicle secondary tasks adapt their behaviour scant. approach may bolster efforts comprehensively impact over transportation considering all vehicles. not only contributes literature safety, but also assists in identifying needs promising strategies for mitigating phone-related safety issues. Technology based countermeasures can provide real-time feedback alerts eye/head movements conjunction vehicle dynamics should be important direction.
