摘要: Composite structures can lower the weight of an airliner significantly. The increased production cost, however, requires application cost-effective design strategies in which and desired laminate quality are taken into account. This paper proposes optimization framework for composite aircraft that minimizes direct operating cost on a part level. In addition to previous models, non-destructive testing model is implemented calculates allowables based ultrasonic scan parameters. case study, effect discussed. It investigated how flaw size therefore pitch influence optimal solution terms weight; thus, manufacturing component be balanced by optimizing early phase.
