摘要: IT has long been known that the young of wandering albatross (Diomedea exulans) do not fly until eight or nine months after hatching, and problem how this fledgeling period fits into breeding cycle adults caused some speculation among naturalists acquainted with species1–6 Excellent descriptions are available birds at sea on grounds, but it is only recently detailed study within a large population undertaken7.
