摘要: Abstract Seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) brine management is essential for desalination. Improving recovery rate with resource can enhance the overall desalination process. In this study, an integrated submerged membrane distillation (S-MD) adsorption (granular potassium copper hexacyanoferrate (KCuFC)) was evaluated improving water from while extracting valuable Rb. The thermal S-MD process (55 °C) a continuous supply of Rb-rich SWRO enabled Rb to be concentrated (99% rejection) producing fresh water. Concentrated in condition enhanced extraction by granular KCuFC. An optimum dose (0.24 g/L) KCuFC identified based on 98% mass (9.78 mg as Rb). MD-adsorption system able achieve more than 85% and feed (in two cycles). Ca resulted CaSO4 deposition onto surface KCuFC, reducing adsorption. MD significantly improved upon removal achieving total 6.65 mg extraction. comparing performance different forms (granular, particle powder), form exhibited 10–47% higher capacity terms adsorbed rate.
