摘要: We used a scanning confocal laser microscope to study the effects of various agents on sugar production by Staphylococcus aureus in vitro. S. cells attached coverslips Pl-TSB (plasma:tryptic soy broth=1:1) were stained with fluorescein isothiocyanate-conjugated concanavalin A (FITC-conA) and more strongly over time. considered that materials positive for FITC-conA consistent sugars, probably glycocalyx, produced cells. Since stationary growth phase alone FITC-conA, all be this (low rate). The staining was markedly reduced when fibrin not formed plasmin sucrose, also destroyed plasmin. In conclusion, results present indicate existence is essential glycocalyx biofilm formation aid attachment vitro, because produce glycocalyx. Of antimicrobial tested, sulfadiazine silver most inhibited FITC-conA-positive at sub-MIC concentration. Plasmin, may useful topical applications use clinical dermatology prevention treatment staphylococcal biofilms. consider simple method very detection field.
