摘要: We use Chandra observations of 13 nearby groups galaxies to investigate the hot gas content their member galaxies. find that a large fraction near-IR-bright, early-type in have extended X-ray emission, indicating they retain significant halos even these dense environments. In particular, we detect ~80% -->LK > L* do not difference LK-LX relation for detected group and cluster However, emission from significantly higher brighter than -->L* compared clusters, larger clusters experience stripping gas. addition, appear be X-ray-faint field galaxies, although Chandra-based sample is needed confirm this result. The near-IR-bright late-type follow while near-IR-fainter are more luminous likely due star formation. Finally, individual examples ongoing One galaxy shows 40-50 kpc tail, two merging systems show tidal bridges/tails emission. Therefore, galactic through both ram pressure forces does occur but frequency or efficiency such events must moderate enough allow bright survive cores.
