摘要: SUMMARY The object of this paper has been to attempt classify certain cases ataxia occurring in children which do not fall under well-known types diseases. The have regarded from their clinical rather than pathological aspect, and features it would seem probable that the symptoms are due lesions cerebellum cerebellar peduncles. This is some extent borne out by evidence reported cases, but there at same time considerable pointing affection tracts portions nervous system other cerebellum. The group themselves into three main divisions: 1 Cases noticed earliest life, a tendency gradual improvement (congenital ataxia). 2 Cases suddenly developed during course or after acute illness child who was formerly quite healthy (acute ataxia, encephalitis cerebelli). 3 Cases gradually normal development until onset disease (progressive ataxia). Instances these various given, pointed whereas belonging groups 1 2 prognosis relatively good, 3 bad. The pathology discussed, shown record published changes most constant feature affection, though such frequently accompanied lack cerebrum, pons, medulla spinal cord.
