摘要: We present a suborbital rocket payload capable of performing soft X-ray spectroscopy on extended sources. The can reach resolutions ∼100 (λ/ Δλ) over sources as large 3.25° in diameter the 17–107 A bandpass. This permits analysis overall energy balance nearby supernova remnants and detailed nature diffuse background. main components instrument are: wire grid collimators, off-plane grating arrays gaseous electron multiplier detectors. is adaptable to longer duration orbital rockets given its comparatively simple pointing telemetry requirements an abundance potential science targets.
