摘要: A series of arylamine-free organic dyes that have a pyrenoimidazole donor, cyanoacrylic acid acceptor, and different π-linkers were synthesized characterized by optical, electrochemical, theoretical investigations. The nature the π-spacer exerts significant effect on electronic properties these dyes. absorption maxima red-shifts progressive addition thiophene units in conjugation pathway. All displayed negative solvatochromism indicative effective solvation polar solvents ground state. oxidation potential shifted negatively introduction electron rich spacer. TDDFT computations also performed to explain optical electrochemical They demonstrated as sensitizers dye-sensitized solar cells, efficiency which is promising.
