摘要: The partial replacement of petroleum-derived plastics and composites by novel bio-based materials from inexpensive, renewable, natural resources has the potential to greatly impact plastics, coatings, industries. Natural starting are usually abundant renewable on a time scale many orders magnitude smaller than petroleum. These characteristics, in combination with good mechanical properties, make design an interesting strategy for lowering environmental industries while maintaining economical competitiveness. present review will focus progress made over last decade development select group matrices biocomposite applications. text is organized into sections that describe matrix system its reinforcements. covered this include vegetable oils, cashew nut shell liquid, brief overview other currently academically relevant systems, such as polysaccharides, polylactide (PLA), polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs), proteins, lignin.
