摘要: Background Single lung transplantation for patients with end-stage obstructive disease has been highly effective in providing symptomatic relief, and it performed at a much increased frequency since 1983. However, there still lacks convincing study showing the effect of size match other preoperative variables predicting functional outcome after transplantation. Methods We evaluated 23 single transplantations over 34-month period. Multiple physiologic criteria were their contribution determining postoperative forced expiratory volume 1 second 3 months Results The ratio that was based on inframammary chest wall circumference most useful criterion to adopt, optimal donor/recipient 0.89. Furthermore, could be predicted simple mathematical model recipient's calculated vital capacity transplanted hemithorax. Conclusions This applied clinical setting maximize recipients undergoing
