摘要: The occurrence of organized forms slum tourism in at least two cities the global South has been linked to large-scale political events, involving thousands travellers. Rio de Janeiro’s favela tours are said have originated 1992 Earth Summit (Freie Medeiros 2009) while Nairobi’s Kibera Tours taken by attendees 2007 World Social Forum (Mowforth & Munt 2009). Township Africa was preceded politically motivated ‘struggle junkies’ who visited townships support resistance black Africans against apartheid regime. This indicates particular role mobile activists creation as an tourist practice. Moreover, these cases seem indicate a development pattern destinations, which could help explain process through they come about.
