摘要: The EPR spectra of Er3+, Yb3+, and Gd3+ have been observed in the host single crystals ZrSiO4, HfSiO4, ThSiO4 which were grown by a flux‐gradient technique. For most systems, exhibited both tetragonal orthorhombic symmetry. characterized principal axis system coincided with crystallographic axes. two types. ZrSiO4 due to eight inequivalent sites had systems not simply related All other resulted from four whose z x axes lay {110} planes equal angles between crystal symmetry (c axis) each axis. types spectra, corresponding transitions different super‐imposed applied magnetic field parallel c Spin‐Hamiltonian parameters determined for spectra.
