摘要: The application of both thermoluminescence and infrared stimulated luminescence dating to the extensively studied “classical” Hungarian loess/paleosol sequences from Basaharc, Mende, Paks provides a reliable chronological framework climatostratigraphic reconstruction for last interglacial/glacial cycle. Based on this combined study new chronology is proposed “Young Loess” in Hungary. Luminescence suggests that loess below MF2 horizon formed during penultimate glaciation. MF1 probably an interstade within oxygen isotope stage 3. For youngest loess, overlying MF1, very high accumulation rate was determined. Large time gaps occur above indicating most record glaciation missing standard sections at Paks. Either large discontinuities or low occurred all three type soil-forming periods. High-resolution studies climatic proxies using approach provide derivatives glacial cycle Hungary, although precise complete chronostratigraphic cannot be achieved incomplete records found these sites.
