摘要: Adolescence and emerging adulthood are transitional periods in the lives of Western youth, many whom experiment with alcohol drugs, along volitional lifestyle identity choices. The most commonly used substances those that legal, including tobacco, followed closely by marijuana. These tried enough such minor experimentation can be seen as normative. Experimentation drugs is a rite passage does not lead to irrevocable harm for majority people. However, minority show heavier patterns drinking, more frequent binge or early onset drug use, all which related numerous health harms. For subset these young people, preventive interventions may needed alter course toward aberrant, hazardous, health-harming substance use. Preventive adolescents generally strive delay initiation while adults attempt minimize any consequences harms drinking next wave treatment will take advantage advances identifying highest risk progressing dependence problems tailor each individual forestall future problems.
