摘要: Aim: To present our experience with management of complex hepatic hydatid cysts (Gharbi type III), using percutaneous large bore catheter drainage followed by active mechanical suction cyst contents. Methods: Eleven patients (6 males and 5 females a mean age 43.2 years), 13 Gharbi III were included in the study. Under sonography guidance heterogeneous treated percutaneously suction. Results: Successful all was achieved (n = 11). The duration placement 11.3 days (range 7 to 40 days). most common problem encountered biliary fistula 3), which effectively managed prolonged and/ or endoscopic intervention. No serious complications deaths encountered. Minor seen including, urticaria 3, fever 2 reactive pleural effusion 3. All responded symptomatic treatment. Follow up serial ultrasound performed on patients, that showed near complete healing 9 formation pseudotumour 4 patients. There no recurrence follow 15.23 months – years). Conclusion: Percutaneous is safe effective alternative therapy.
