摘要: Cannabis is the most commonly used illicit substance among pregnant women. Human epidemiological and animal studies have found that prenatal cannabis exposure influences brain development can long-lasting impacts on cognitive functions. Exploration of therapeutic potential cannabis-based medicines synthetic cannabinoid compounds has given us much insight into physiological roles endogenous ligands (endocannabinoids) their receptors. In this article, we examine human longitudinal cohort document long-term influence to cannabis, followed by an overview molecular composition endocannabinoid system temporal spatial changes in expression during development. How signaling modulates fundamental developmental processes such as cell proliferation, neurogenesis, migration axonal pathfinding are also summarized.
